Uniden DashView 40R Recognised in Australia’s International Good Design Awards for Excellence in Design and Innovation
Uniden has been recognised as a Good Design Award Winner in the Product Design category for its Uniden DashView 40R 3-in-1 dash cam, acknowledging its outstanding innovation, craftsmanship, and contribution to road safety.
The Uniden DashView 40R stood out for its seamless integration of advanced safety and sustainability features. The 3-in-1 smart dash cam offers front, rear, and internal monitoring in a compact and refined form, designed to make Australian roads safer and driving experiences simpler.
Presented to Uniden Oceania Executive General Manager, Damon Gardner, and Head of Marketing, Brad Hales, on Friday 17 October, at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney, the Australian Good Design Awards are one of the world’s longest-running international design award programs, celebrating design that defines, rewards, and inspires positive change.
This year’s theme, “Design for Better”, underscores the vital role design plays in shaping a more balanced, inclusive, and sustainable world. From reimagining products and services to reshaping cities and systems, the Awards showcase how design has the power to drive positive change for people, planet, and prosperity.

“The Uniden 40R 3-in-1 Smart Dash Camera is designed to keep Australian drivers safer and more informed with front, back and internal cameras. Innovative solution for users. Sleek compact design which serves its intended purpose and user group well. Solid design package with good integration of features. The design is refined and compact for all the tech that is included inside, it also helps to have only one set of cables instead of having multiple cameras. This makes the driving experience less cluttered and safer. Serviceability for life extension has also been considered. The 40R replaces traditional lithium-ion batteries with a supercapacitor, reducing chemical waste while offering longer life and improved durability. Supercapacitors are more sustainable due to lower resource consumption and greater energy efficiency. This product promotes driver accountability, enhances passenger security, and supports overall road awareness. Well done to the Design Team for bringing this product to market.”
