Built using Japanese engineering technology and designed for Australian road conditions, the slim and stylish design can be discreetly positioned inside vehicles for a more luxurious in-car experience. In the first of the next generation series of smart dash cameras introduced by Uniden, the ultra-compact Dash View SXR features a 4K Video Resolution Front Camera an on the Dash View SXR providing a 150-degree wide angle lens. The addition of Sony’s Starvis Image Sensor provides back-illuminated pixel technology used in CMOS image sensors for optimum video quality and with WDR allowing you to capture clearer vision in bright and low light environments. This premium technology ensures the Dash View SX deliver high video quality in visible-light and near infrared light regions.
The Dash View SXR features a supercapacitor, to ensure any recording in progress is safely stored before the camera is powered off. With a larger range of operating temperatures than a traditional lithium-ion battery, the supercapacitor is ideal for users operating the Dash View SXR in areas with harsh Australian climate conditions.
What makes this Dash Cam so special is the WiFI Function , allowing you to directly transfer footage, preview and even record via your smartphone or tablet using the free Uniden app for the dash cam. This is a handy feature as you don’t have to take the Micro SD card in and out to retrieve footage and it can be done while in the car after each event or journey.
The Speed & Red Light Camera Warnings are built into the Dash Cam alerting you while driving of upcoming fixed speed cameras and red light cameras to remind drivers to slow down.*
Another handy feature of the Dash View SXR is the WDR function which balances the light on days of high contrast, or at night when lights are bright, giving you sharper footage and great clarity. The footage lock protection feature means the footage is safe and won’t easily be deleted.
Included in the Dash View SXR is a hard wire kit to enable the Parking Mode feature. This is ideal in Shopping Centres and Parking Lots allowing you to record when your car is parked and the engine is switched off, the inbuilt sensor detects sudden vibration which will wake the hibernated Dash Cam and switch it on to start recording for a limited time.

Motion Detection: Motion detection can be triggered by the PIR sensor in the camera. The PIR sensor only detects objects with heat up to 10 metres away and in the line of sight. Normally the new batteries for App Cam Solo can last: Stand-by: 6 months, based on 1 Detection A Day. Constant working: 11 hours for day session or 6 hours in night mode. Working duration of batteries from different brands may be different.
What is the battery life?
The battery’s life depends on if it is working in daytime or at night. It can work about 650 mins at daytime and 400 mins at night.
Can I power off the camera? How do I do so?
There is no power button on the camera or power off option in Uniden Solo App. If you want to power off the camera, please take out all the batteries.
Can I replace the SD card? What is the maximum SD card storage supported?
It is advisable to use SD card rated for surveillance purpose and the maximum storage supported is 256GB.
Do I need to use a micro SD card?
If you don’t use a micro SD card for this camera, you can save recordings manually via the mobile APP which will reduce the life of the battery. If the camera works with an SD card, when the camera detects the motion events, it will automatically save the recordings to the SD card. So we recommend using a micro SD card.
Can APP CAM Solo X2K Camera record to its SD card without a WiFi connection?
Yes, this camera can record motion detection to SD card without a WiFi connection, but you need to activate this camera via WiFi or hotspot when you first get it.
