A DIN mount UHF radio for trucks and touring vehicles
The X85 is designed for installation in a compatible DIN dashboard opening, giving drivers a fixed place for their UHF radio. Its 12V/24V DC input supports a range of truck, commercial vehicle and touring setups.
A remote speaker microphone puts key functions close at hand. The programmable Smart Key can be assigned to Instant Channel, Call or Menu access, while the magnetic microphone hanger provides a convenient place to return the handpiece.
Check the available dashboard space and mounting requirements before installation.
Hear messages again with Instant Replay
A turn-off, meeting point or instruction can be easy to miss during a busy day.
The X85’s Instant Replay function automatically stores received audio, allowing you to play a recent message again. It holds up to 20 minutes across 20 recordings, with each recording lasting up to 60 seconds. Older recordings are replaced as new messages arrive.
This feature records received transmissions; your own transmitted voice is not recorded.
Reduce background noise in the conversation
The X85 includes two features that address different parts of the conversation:
-
Active Noise Cancellation helps reduce background noise picked up by the microphone.
-
Noise Reduction Circuit filters noise from received audio.
Speakers in both the base unit and microphone let you choose the listening arrangement that suits your cab.
Keep your group talking with Master Scan
When travelling with other drivers, Master Scan helps compatible radios move to an unused channel within their configured group when an unwanted signal is detected.
To use it together, radios must share the same Master Scan channel group and CTCSS/DCS subcode settings.
The X85 also includes Triple Watch, which checks your selected channel and two programmed priority channels for activity.
Twin antenna options included
The package includes 6.6dBi and 3dBi antenna whips, giving you options when planning your vehicle’s UHF installation.
Antenna selection, mounting position and the surrounding terrain all affect radio performance. Consider your vehicle and usual driving conditions when setting up the kit.
