Uniden Australia today announced a new official partnership with the 2026 Tyrepower V8
SuperUte Series, scaling up its commitment to one of Australia’s most exciting motorsport
categories.
“V8 SuperUtes is one of the most rugged and high-energy categories in Australian motorsport,
and we’re proud to partner with the championship for 2026,” said Brad Hales, Head of Marketing
Oceania at Uniden. “It’s a natural fit for Uniden and the drivers and fans who live and breathe
performance, reliability and life on the road.”
Filippa Guarna, Category Manager at the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series, said: “We’re thrilled to
welcome Uniden to the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series for 2026. Partnerships like this help

strengthen the category for teams and enthusiasts alike, as well as our associations with the
automotive market, and Uniden is genuinely committed to the championship and growth of this
sport.”
The partnership will debut at the Sydney 500 at Sydney Motorsport Park (20–22 February 2026),
where Uniden will have a trackside presence alongside key retail partners and fan activations, as
well as inside select V8 SuperUtes every race with onboard camera angles brining additional
close-up driver views of the racing action.
Alongside its partnership with the 2026 Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series, Uniden is also thrilled to
support driver Christopher 'Jazz Hands’ Formosa and the family-run Allgate Racing team. The fan
favourite is set to compete in a new Uniden Ute throughout the 2026 championship.
Formosa added “Allgate Racing is family-run, and we’ve worked hard to earn our place on the
grid. Having Uniden on board for 2026 is huge, and we can’t wait to represent the brand on track.”
Formosa and Allgate Motorsport began competing in the final season of V8 Ute racing in 2017,
before progressing into the inaugural (diesel) SuperUte Series. The category later evolving into
the V8 SuperUte Series from 2021 where the team continues to compete today. Alongside their
V8 SuperUte program, Formosa has accumulated several years of racing in TA2 and Trans Am
competition, as well as a round in Mazda RX-8 Cup.
Uniden’s partnership will continue across the six-round 2026 calendar, with further race
weekend activity and partner announcements to follow.
